Dr. Ali Jaffery founded Potomac Health with a simple conviction: that quality healthcare and a thriving physician are not in conflict. They build on each other. As a board-certified internist, he has always been drawn to the diagnostic side of medicine, the cases that require patience, curiosity, and time.

Before founding Potomac Health, Dr. Jaffery practiced internal medicine within the Inova health system in Northern Virginia and, before that, at St. Luke's Internal Medicine Associates in Duluth, Minnesota. His clinical interests include cardiac health, diabetes management, hypertension, and diet and lifestyle counseling.

Patients describe him as attentive and easy to talk to, a doctor who explains things clearly and makes an exam room feel like a conversation. Born and raised in New Jersey, he brings a grounded, straightforward approach focused on removing friction between doctor and patient.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Jaffery is a lifelong student of history who spends much of his free time with his family and enjoys playing and watching sports, particularly basketball and football.
